THz Detection Electronics and Time Delay Controllers

The general setup used to detect the radiation from our THz receiver chip is shown in the diagram below:


bulletWe have a wide variety of low noise current amplifiers from both Ithaco (model 1211) and Stanford Research Systems (model SR570)
bulletLock-in Amplifiers from Stanford Research Systems (model SR530 and model SR830).
bulletIn addition we use DC power supplies to provide a bias voltage for our THz source chips.
bulletWe use computer controlled delay lines with interferometric (0.1 m) precision to provide the delay of the optical pulses used to gate the THz experiment. These are from the Newport/Klinger Company.
